Open Call 2023
In 2023, the Impact Lab, an acceleration program, launched an open call to select businesses with socio-environmental impact in the Legal Amazon. The main objective was to identify and support ventures committed to the sustainable development of the region, offering them an impact training journey and initial investments between R$30,000 and R$100,000.
As a result, it received 117 applications, coming from 08 states in the Legal Amazon, 66 of which were from the state of Amazonas, 21 from Pará, 10 from Acre, 06 from Roraima, 04 from Amapá, 04 from Rondônia, 03 from Tocantins and 03 from Mato Grosso. Of the 117 applicants, 14 businesses were selected for the Lab Journey, 6 from Amazonas, 3 from Pará, 2 from Amapá, 1 from Tocantins, 1 from Rondônia, and 1 from Acre.
The open call was exclusively for impact businesses operating in the Legal Amazon. The selection process included steps such as detailed assessments, interviews, and on-site visits to better understand the needs and potential of each business.

Those selected took part in a comprehensive acceleration program, which included an initial diagnosis, impact-focused training, collective learning sessions, specific mentoring, market connections, and investment rounds. In addition, a post-acceleration monitoring program was established to ensure the continued development of the businesses.
The 2023 call reinforced Impact Lab’s commitment to strengthening the sustainable business ecosystem in the Amazon, promoting initiatives that combine economic viability with environmental conservation and the well-being of local communities.
