Open Call 2024
The special edition of the Impact Lab, part of the EcoAm initiative – Fostering Impact Ecosystems in the Amazon, began in 2024 with an exclusive focus on the territories of Ji-Paraná (RO), Rio Branco (AC) and Tefé (AM). Following the same premise as the regular edition, the main goal of this version of the program was to identify and support enterprises committed to the sustainable development of these regions. To this end, it offers a structured journey of impact training,as well as initial investments ranging from R$30 thousand to R$100 thousand.
As a result, 52 applications were received from the selected territories, including 25 from Tefé, 17 from Ji-Paraná and 10 from Rio Branco. Nine businesses were selected, four from Tefé, three from Ji-Paraná and two from Rio Branco. Of the types of business, 31% were Associations or Cooperatives, 21% were bioeconomy businesses, 21% were startups and 12% were social impact businesses. In terms of business stage, 48% were growing and 40% were at an early stage. Another highlight is that 81% of the businesses were led by non-white people.
